Cleveland Horseshoe Hotel question

Agree tslate, oh boo hoo for us, the hotel looks awesome, a short walk to casino which I assume you could walk it inside? but not sure, going in august.
This is only a temporary casino, they are going to build a larger facility closer to the river in the future.....that's why no hotel here. I assume they will have a hotel with the new one.
We are going to Horseshoe Cleveland next weekend and I booked us at the Ritz Carlton. I called about parking which is not free at the hotels by the way. The casino told me the Ritz is 2 1/2 blocks away from the Casino and the free validated parking is on the opposite side of the the casino in a lot or garage. I asked which of the 3 hotels was closest to the casino and was told the Renaissance so I switched our reservation.
Stayed at Mountaineer on Jul 30-31 (will never return for too many reasons to go into) with the intention of driving to Cleveland on 8/1 just to get 25 tier credits for the Great Race game and then heading home to Indy. However we went on-line (Total Rewards site) on 7/31, saw room at the Ritz-C for $79, so we booked it. We parked in the casino garage (earn 15 tier credits for 24 hours free parking) and walked the three blocks to the Ritz (valet parking $28). The casino was crowded on this Wednesday evening but video poker was plentiful and the pay tables were decent (7/5 BP was best). We earned 25 tier credits each for a $60 loss (one 4 of a kind only). The visit included a walk to Lake Erie to see the Brown's new stadium and dinner on 4th Street a walking only area with lots of great restaurants including one with gluten-free menu (my wife has celiac disease). Downtown Cleveland is a lot nicer then I envisioned. The Ritz is a classy place and the casino is clean with great service and all new stuff. We enjoyed the visit and would recommend a trip to Cleveland as long as the hotels can be had for a decent price.

I just got back from Cleveland and Windsor. When I made my reservations I think there were 4 hotels that I could have booked. I took the Ritz Carlton. The room was nice and valet parking was free.
That said I hated them casino even though when I left I was only out what I tipped if that much! I did stay on a Sat.
If you want to make reservations on Caesars web site make sure that you log in. I did keep getting the sold out until I logged in.
Good Luck Always,

Parking is free at both the Ritz & Renaissance if the rooms are comped. Both can be reached walking through Tower City, but much farther to the Renaissance. The rooms are much larger at the Ritz.
stayed at the Ritz last weekend for 2 nites - all comped and the parking was comped also. A little confusing in the beginning to get to the casino but it is easy because it is all inside through Tower City. That being said, did not like the casino. hopefully when the new one is built, it will be better.
We were at the Horseshoe Cleveland last Tues & were comped @ the Ritz. Outstanding hotel with outstanding service & rooms. Turn down service, chocolates on the pillow, robes & very soft towels. I will go back soon. The parking fee of $28per day is waived if rooms are comped. The casino is a short walk from the Ritz without going outside.

The Casino was quited nice, new, non smoking. & we both hit several nice payouts. In fact, the first machine was a nickel Five Dragon which I played $2.50 on first pull & hit bonus. This machine you pick either 5,10,15,20 spins with various multipliers. I picked 10 & after the first eight spins, nothing, but on the last two, hit big for a total payout of 879.00. Wife had several payouts in the 80-250 range. I thought the machines were better than those @ Hollywood in IN.
