Dinner in Tunica

We have reservations for one night in Tunica.
One room at Gold Strike and one at the Horseshoe.

I also have a $75 com food credit for Gold Strike,
There are 3 of us.

Where would you recommend eating.
We will be there for dinner on Wed and breakfast on Thurs

Chicago Steakhouse?
Gold Strike Buffet?
Binions Steakhouse?
Horseshoe Buffet?

We've eatten at Binions and the Horseshoe Buffet. Binions was pretty good and the Horseshoe buffet was good for breakfast and fair at dinner.

Is the Chicago Steakhouse same, better, or worse than Horseshoe?
Same for the two buffets?

Thanks for the input

I have been to the Chicago Steakhouse 5 or 6 times. I have a had a good experience every time. It is a little better than Binion's in my opinion. (very close though)
Not sure if this will help much. We've been to Tunica once, ate at the Paula Deen buffet at Harrah's and Binion's Steakhouse at Horseshoe. I didn't think much of the Paula Deen buffet, although I'm probably in the minority here; very good variety, but food wasn't of particularly good quality and not all that well-prepared. I thought Binion's Steakhouse was very good; not fantastic, but generally very good steaks and good preparations. Very good, friendly service. A bit overpriced for the quality, but a nice experience.

We'll certainly get back to Tunica, so I'll be curious about what people say about the Chicago Steakhouse.

I agree with you about the Paula Deen Buffet.
We were not impressed. The first time it was actually pretty bad- lots of cold food.
Last time it was ok but definitely over priced.
I am thinking of giving the Chicago Steakhouse a try.

Let us know about the Chicago, okay?
Now I am not sure if I will do the Chicago.

We just received a coupon for $75 off at Binions for the same time period.
It is not good for the buffet.

So we could do Binions for dinner and then use the Gold Strike one for the breakfast either at the buffet or their cafe although I was looking forward to trying the Chicago steak house.
For breakfast I highly highly recommend the Paula Deen Buffet at Harrahs. For dinner, not do much.

If you have the $75 at Binions steakhouse and you enjoyed it before, I don't see any reaon to try Gold Strike's steakhouse

I also highly highly recommend Magnolias at Horseshoe. But it depends on what night you are there. I think they are closed a few nights during the week

When are you coming. I can try not to miss you this time
oh, and I don't particularly care for Gold Strike's buffet. I like their coffee shop though
We will be there the night of Feb 2.
A Wed night.
Stopping on the way to New Orleans.

I do not think the Horseshoe coupon is good for Magnolias but I will check.

Sounds like your recommendation is ti use the Horseshoe coupon for dinner and the Gold Strike one for breakfast based on the limitations. Of the Horseshoe one.

Karen I hope you can make it on a Wed night.

if you are there on a Wednesday, I kind of doubt if I can make it down. Horseshoe did send me $100 a week in free play good every week in February and March!!!! But I will probably use it on weekends.

And I don't know if Magnolias is open on Wednesday anyway
