Four Winds Casino computer crash

We went to Four Winds Casino last night 2/28 and they had a massive computer crash that affected every machine in the casino. Not only were you not getting points on your card but you could not withdraw any money from your machine without getting a hand pay. We were one of the lucky ones and got a ticket out moments before the crash and only had to stand in line for 45 minutes at the cashier(could not use the cash machines). Anyone with a small amount of money in the machines just left but many others were left waiting for hours for a hand pay. At this time they have not even acknowledged on their home page that they had a problem or apologized or given anyone any kind of comp for their trouble.

Has anyone here ever encountered a problem like this and how was it handled?

That is not the first time that happened at four winds. We were there several years ago when it happened. All you could do was wait if you wanted paid
I had the same thing happen at Horseshoe in Hammond many years ago when they were still on the boat. They did the same thing as Four Winds. There is really nothing else that can be done. I was also at Four Winds when this happened on Friday night. I'm sure they were not happy about it, but did the best they could. The people who really suffered were the poor slot attendants. Saw more than one person really chew the poor attendant out as if they had any control over the matter. I was playing 2 machines when the crash happened. Both had credits of over $350 so I was not going to walk away. It probably took about 20 minutes for me to get paid on the 1st one, but by then she was out of cash so had to wait for her to go back to the cage to refill. This took about another 20 minutes. I always set a predetermined time and place to meet my husband and when he didn't show I knew he had the same problem. He doesn't have a cell phone, so no way to contact him. Luckily I was able to locate him and he was waiting at a VP machine with $500 in credits. Waited another 30 minutes for him to be paid. Talked to one of the supervisors while waiting and asked him if the cage was getting nervous as their cash on hand was rapidly being depleted. He verified that was the case. When you consider all of the real problems that can befall a person in life, this seems pretty insignificant.
