Golden Nugget AC: Any recent visitors

I am getting lots of free offers from them. I haven't been there in years.

I am curious if they have done any remodeling yet to the rooms.

Any comments about what they have seen would be useful.
Haven stayed over but I do like the Casino.
If your Diamond at Harrahs they will upgrade your card.
I'm booked for Oct 11-13. I'll let you know.
I was there in August, spent little time there, and have received room offers already.

I did note that they have put in more bar areas than anything else. They took gambling spaces and made them into new bars! The rest of the floor looked the same. They pulled out many of the VP machines that were right off the lobby area on your left as you can up the escalators from the parking garage, made it a whole lot smaller.

I hope they will be adding some new machines, as it was a work in progress at that point.

I got charged about $6 at a video poker bar. Finished the beer got up and tossed the card.
Rooms haven't been remodeled yet. They have sample remodeled rooms you can look at on 7th floor.
Just got back from 2 days at Golden Nugget. Sample rooms are beautiful, some are available. Place is really starting to look nice, although alot of ongoing construction.

I see on the web site that you can book an old room or a remodeled room. Obviously the old rooms are pretty cheap.

Question: Is the construction causing a problem for sleeping. (or playing)
Construction didn't bother me while sleeping, although there are signs posted that work is being done on the exterior and to keep curtains closed for privacy. I didn't experience any workers outside my window. No problems while playing either. The only construction on casino floor that I observed was the building of the new racebook, but that area was enclosed.
Was in the casino last week, didn't see anything that made me want to rush back, thought the casino area to be small
