Just got an email from Rock Gaming (parent company of Horseshoe Cleveland & Cincinnati and Thistledown Racino) that effective "mid-2016" Caesars will no longer be managing the properties. Instead everything will be brought in-house and Rock Gaming will assume management responsibilities. Along with that Total Rewards will be out and a new players club will be created. There will be some tier and credit matching when the new players club is implemented but the players club will be limited to these three Ohio properties. Eventually Detroit's Greektown will be added to the system as well. Wondering if Caesar's bankruptcy influenced this or if this was Dan Gilbert's plan all along.
It was great having Total Rewards here and I will miss it. Really enjoyed the comps that were offered to me especially the free rooms in downtown Cleveland. I had been focusing my play at TR casinos the last few years. Helped to sweeten the deal when I went to LV or Atlantic City. Looks like I'll be making more trips to Caesars Windsor in 2016...unless they have plans too.
