greenhorn in AC

Great info once again. Thanks!
I would like to add something about watching the game.

There was (and I hope still is) a sports bar in the mall on the pier next to Caesars. It is a full service restaurant and has huge tv's everywhere. It might be a better spot for watching the game than any of the locations in the casinos. Of course, the casino race books might be broadcasting the game, but you won't have any food service there and the game might play second fiddle if any horse tracks are running at the same time.

I haven't been in that sports bar in a long time and the mall on the pier has not been doing well. If the sports bar has closed, I hope someone reads this who knows about it and updates this info. If I were with a group, the sports bar would be my choice for a good spot to enjoy the game.

Hi Ned,

I believe that you are talking about Game On. They are a sports bar that started in Boston. The one in Boston looks into the batting cages at Fenway Park and you can rent the cages out for a party when the Sox aren't in town.

Game On Atlantic City

The Borgata and Trump Marina can be walked to from Harrah's. There's a pathway that goes by the water that you can follow to the Borgata. I think that it's about a 15 minute walk. Getting over to Trump Marina I think is a little trickier, but you're not going to miss a whole lot by missing the place.

IIRC, you can only bring one guest in with you to a Diamond Lounge. Not sure if that's different at the 7* level though. The other premium card holder lounges in AC charge $10 in comps per person for access - again, only you and one guest. I know that I used to be able to bring more than one person into the Chairman's Club at Trump, but I haven't been in there since I was a Signature Card holder. (Trumps equivalent to seven stars.)

Oh, I am surprised that Noahcat or I didn't suggest Chef Volas. It's not a casino restaurant, but one of the most noted Italian restaurants, yet unknown places in the city.

Zagat reviews

Edited to add: For a casual meal, The White House Sub Shop is a must.
Nev means " The Pier"-- right off Caesars.
It's a artsy pretty, high-end Mall on the Ocean....never been but I'm not a shopper

Is Wild Wild West part of Bally's or a stand-alone?
After reading some reviews, decided to make a reservation at Chef Vola's. True to what I'd read, it's a tough spot to reserve. Managed to get 5:15 on a Sunday night in Feb. Thanks for the tip!
Wild Wild West is NOT stand alone- it's connected to Bally's AND Caesars.
It's in the middle
Try Gerties for fresh donuts and bagels
Flip,

I should of known you would have the info and the link to the sports bar. I would love to go to the Game On in Boston. Sounds like a great spot. I have only been in Fenway once, many years ago.

By the way, Wild Wild West's full name is Wild, Wild West Casino at Bally's Park Place (I think). I would consider it to be a stand alone casino, but you have to go next door to sleep. The buffet is one of the better AC buffets and they have an excellent race book and a full complement of table games. No full pay JOB VP, however.

Game On is a great place to watch the game, but their draught beer menu leaves alot to be desired, if that's your thing. Trinity on the same level in The Pier has extensive draught selection, but smaller TV's.
...and the lucky old prospecter and his donkey in the front(back).. er, um.. by the Boardwalk-- a scene out of Cyotye Moon-- They are walt disney animatrons..... must see for free
