Harrahs Cherokee - Surrounding Hotels and Golf?

Planning an overnight to Harrahs Cherokee next month and looking for a place to stay, not at the hotel.
I remember a spot right across the street, Days Inn maybe?
Are there any other?

Also - Any good golf courses close?

Fairfield is right across the street. holiday Inn is on the other side of the gas station maybe 1 block away from the casino. Sequoyah(spelling) is the only golf course up that way within a 20 mile radius.

They do but getting a seat can be tough depending on the time of day. No free drinks though..

No free drinks? But its not a dry casino right?

right, you may purchase drinks but they cant comp your drinks.

Welp.. guess that means Ill be taking my flask in with me!

Don't think you can brown bag, although the bathrooms have been littered with mini bottles for years. Soft drinks are comp'ed

Lots of hotel choices in the area.

We flask'd it with no issues. You can buy booze, just not free while playing.
