Harrahs Cherokee Update..

Looking for a current Harrahs Cherokee update.. Last time we stopped by, there was a ton of construction and it was miserably crowded. 3 deep waiting to sit at the BJ tables and even finding an open bank of slot machines was tough. It wasnt a holiday weekend, just really crowded.
I vowed never to go back again, but lets be honest, I like to gamble and its only 3 hours away.

Whats it looking like these days?

Marko, I live about 25 miles from there so as I don't work can go anytime. I stay away from Friday afternoon until Sunday evening as you are right. Its crazy. Any other time you can get a table or slot machine with no problem.

Oh that's too bad!!! Working people only have the weekends to play! I hope they take the hint and expand it quickly - they lose money if you are just standing around waiting for a machine.

I often go on Friday or Saturday and never have a problem getting a machine - esp in the non-smoking section, which is teeny compared to the rest of the casino. Construction is completed. Everything looks great. But yeah, as with any casino, it's going to be busier on a Saturday than a Tuesday!

Their is still construction going on for the new pool area but does not hamper any movement on the property.

Where is that new pool area? Was just there last night and saw the temporary fitness center (and thank God it's temporary - yeesh, what a pit!), but didn't notice signs for a new pool. Any idea when it's opening? Oh, and Paula Deen's restaurant is clearing out all merch. Most of it was already gone. They're gonna have a lot of signs to change when they take her name off the restaurant!

It's in the area where the hotel lobby and registration area used to be. Last I heard it will be done in the fall.
