Harrahs Cherokee Update..

Yes, just went Jan. 1-2. Everything is pretty much the same since summer/fall, although Paula Deen's place is now the Selu Garden Cafe with a similar menu (unlimited hot bar, Southern specialties like chicken and waffles, chicken pot pie, etc. Here is the menu: https://www.harrahscherokee.com/content/dam/che/Dining/Casual/Selu%20Garden%20Caf%E2%80%9A/Harrahs-Cherokee-Dining-Casual-Selu-Garden-Menu.pdf).

Also, the fitness center is now complete. Definitely an upgrade, but still nothing special. About the equivalent of what you'd get at a Marriott Courtyard (as opposed to before, where it was equivalent to what you'd get at a Red Roof Inn). It'll do for a quick workout, and hey, it's free, so that's always good!

I was there for New Years. It is not Vegas but it is not bad either. I seem to win there and I have a great time. My host takes great care of me.

Seem to win there now?

Things really have changed then.

Might have to revisit soon then.

Just curious.. What was NYE like? Did they have fireworks?
And how about the crowds? Still an older/locals scene or have the renovations attracted a younger scene?

marko..

No fireworks. Excellent dinner - lobster, steak and a really nice show during dinner as well as an open bar which was nice considering NC liquor laws. My husband and I then had the ZZ top tickets to usher in the new year. I like this casino - I think I can play longer than when I am in LV. I have a great host too. It is 4 hours away from me so it is a nice fix in between Vegas visits.
