Harrah's Tunica or The Roadhouse

We plan to stay at comped rooms in Tunica in October. The only choice in comped rooms for us is either Harrah's Tunica Terrace rooms or The Roadhouse Tunica rooms. We will have a car and are just staying for two nights. Which of the two do you recommend is the best place to stay. Your opinions are appreciated.
The rooms at the Roadhouse are all large, very nice, with whirlpool tub. However, they have recently destroyed all pay tables. You can walk to the Horseshoe and the Gold Strike. Harrah's room are not connected to the casino but they have a shuttle. They are also very nice.
The Horseshoe had FP $ DDB when I was there a few months ago and $20 FP kept popping up as I was playing there. I would opt for the Roadhouse so you don't have to screw around with a shuttle.
With that being said, I usually stay at Sams since they comp all my meals and put me in a suite and usually get $200 in FP. But there VP is marginal at best...lucky I usually win there.
Roadhouse rooms mostly have visible wear. The BR not just limited to the tub, makes up for it. The harrahs 3 towers include casino, just okay, but the other two, veranda and terrace differ pretty much. Sorry I confuse the names, but DO take the choice with smaller rooms. Yep, they are less worn and have flat screens. You can tell from website pics the one with flat screens. Good luck

We have stayed in Harrah's Veranda, Harrah's Casino tower & The Roadhouse. I would take The Roadhouse hands down. The décor is 1980's dated but still a decent room. The whirlpool tub is the focal point. It's large and comfortable for two people. The bathroom is huge with dual sinks, a large walk-in shower and a separate water closet. Plus they stock the room with towels, towels and more towels so there is enough for the whirlpool and the bathroom. The flat screen TV's in the Roadhouse rooms I believe are larger that those at Harrah's. We have never had a cleanliness issue with these rooms. Additional benefits are easy access to the room and the casino is attached, you don't have to go outside. Horseshoe casino is just steps away. If the weather is lousy you are only outside for less than a minute. Gold Strike (M Life) is a few steps away on the other side of the Shoe.

All three of Harrah's towers are basic. Rooms are functional for sleeping and showering but no extra comforts. The casino tower is preferable as it is a 2 minute walk (outside) to the casino. Veranda and Terrace have a shuttle that runs to the casino. A bit of a hassle having to wait for it. You can drive and park at the casino too but still a hassle.

One more plus for the Roadhouse is hallway noise. At Harrah's I always hear door slams and noise in the hallways in both the Casino & Veranda tower. At Roadhouse I never hear noise. Maybe because we have been there on weeknights? Or the walls and doors may be thicker.

That choice was unfortunately made easier for you today.
When you say the Horseshoe has FP DDB do you mean 10/6 or 10/7? I am going next week and will look for them, thanks for the info. GG
