We came in yesterday, stayed the night and are leaving this morning. Got in around 3 and there was only one desk clerk for check-in but that was not a problem as there were no other guests around. Rooms haven't changed other than water bottles say "Hollywood". One nice change is that they have complimentary wifi in the rooms. Went down to get our Hollywood players cards. We are gold and diamond with Harrahs. There were 3 "workers" at the players club (two for the equivalent of Harrahs gold and platinum..Hollywood Marqee and Celebrity and one for the line for Producer/Executive Producer (Diamond and 7 Star)). We just got in the basic line as were uncertain of procedure. The worker asked for ID and then asked for my Diamond card. She then went and talked with the Producer/Executive Producer worker (who was not serving anyone) and came back. She did this again and then told me I was the equivalent of Diamond but it would expire in Dec 31st. When I asked about this she went and talked with the other worker again and then told me my level would "probably be extended when I came back". The Producer/Executive Producer worker never bothered to come talk to me and didn't even leave where she was standing even though she was not helping any people.
We went up to the Diamond Lounge (now called Producer Lounge). Menu has been slightly expanded and when we got ready to leave were told that absolutely NO food or drink may be removed from the lounge. That means no alcohol (which you have to pay for anyway), no coffee which is free there and on the casino floor and definitely not that package of potato chips that you didn't open that came with your sandwich.
The casino was fairly empty the entire time and at no point did a host come by to greet me. I point this out because Harrahs St Louis is the only Harrahs property where a host would usually come by to say hello and offer a food comp without my asking.
We are leaving without a warm and fuzzy feeling about Hollywood St Louis.
