Hollywood Toledo, Ohio

Our new casino in Toledo, Ohio is scheduled to Open on April 2. Penn National is the owner of this casino who recently bought the M Resort in Vegas. I hope this will give Ohioans a reason not to cross boarder to Michigan.

I just hope it helps the housing market in Toledo. We bought a house up there for our son to live in while he is college (much cheaper than dorm fees). He graduates next year.
Is this the one off I-75? Going south to Bowling Green? When the casinos in detroit opened up a few years ago...things went down hill. The money went into the casinos and not the local economy. everything is closed and boarded up. Even the lottery suffered. My husband works in OH now. Couldn't find any work in Mi. Drives by tha casino everyday for now at least we may move or find a crash pad near Bowling Green/Perrysburg. The drive is shorter than to Firekeepers or Soaring Eagle. But we will give the new casino a visit or two.
Yes, this casino will be located off I-75 along the Maumee River. I work Downtown and its about 5 minutes away from me. I am skeptical on how Toledo will handle this casino. I am happy that if I get an itch to gamble I no longer have to drive 130 miles round trip for a casino experience. The class of people in Detroit is not my style and the dealers are just plan rude.

Hollywood Casino is only looking to hire upbeat dealers and staff. They claim to strive to build relationships with their visitors and treat them as a VIP. We will see... Firekeepers Casino is a great , but the drive is crazy. There is no easy way to get to that place. After dark the deer are everywhere and the blood for them being hit is on the highway.
