Horseshoe Cincinnati VP downgraded

Well, we knew it was just a matter time, and they did it. Ten months in the four $1 video poker machines by Binions have had the 9/6 JOB reduced to 9/5. The 9/6 DDB is still there and the duces wild. Those are the only three games now. You can still get 9/6 JOB in high limit playing one $5 coin, but as previously stated in an earlier post, they REALLY downgraded those. If you are playing 5 $5=$25 and hit a royal it now pays 2500 vs. 4000. That's $12,500 vs. $20,000. No problem getting a machine now.

Feb. mailers cut my promo play by 2/3 and I've been playing the same. Looks like back to Hollywood for me.
Just a heads up, my Feb free play was identical to Jan. You might have been tripped.
That pathetic selection of VP in Cincinnati has caused them to lose our business. Horseshoe Southern Indiana who had a good selection of VP (8/5 BP in quarters and most games full pay at $.50) added 200 VP machines. We will go check this out on Feb 20th. Cincinnati needed those 200 machines a lot more than Horseshoe SI.
As far as I am aware Southern Indiana has removed all good games (maybe a machine or two left).

I was just there in December to play my way to Platinum for 2014. I will be real unhappy if what you say is true kiwiboy1. The good games were only in one place-two banks of machines on the second floor just across from what I think is called the Envy Bar (entertainment in the area). All other VP was less than full pay. If that VP is gone SI will not see me again. I will confine my away from home playing to Rising Star. It is not great there but I like the place.
Binions in Shreveport was downgraded too. We don't go there anymore.
After our 2/20 trip to Horseshoe SI we now know that kiwiboy1 is EXACTLY right. The 200 new machines touted by CET are actually just replacements for the machines that were in place. Further the 8/5 BP in quarters is now 6/5. The 9/5 DDB in quarters at the 3d floor bar is now 7/5 (in fact all the bar DDB is 7/5 when it used to be at least 8/5). Most striking is the former full pay games at $.50 such 9/6 BPD are now as bad as the quarter payoffs mentioned above. In fact the 9/6 BPD is now 7/5. On this trip the place was deserted and there were no more than 3 or 4 people playing VP in the entire casino including the non-smoking floor. The mentality of the Suits never ceases to amaze me. They lower the VP payback by reducing the tables and then almost no one plays. Boy that is really intelligent. We had a good steak dinner at Binion's but the dinner is not enough to offset the ridiculously bad VP. We can drive to any number of casinos with VP equal to or better than Horseshoe SI (we live in Indianapolis). We will not return unless we see a post stating management has come to its senses and the VP has been upgraded.
