Horseshoe Cincinnati

My husband, brother and I went o Horseshoe Cincinnati this weekend. We drove down on Friday from the Chicago area and then spent the night and drove back today. I was given ridiculous amount of free play for someone that hadn't been there before. The funny thing is I get offers/play for Cincinnati, but nothing for Cleveland.

I rented a scooter and paid just $12 of my reward credits. What I really liked about the casino was that aisles were side and it was easy to get around on a scooter. I also liked the variety of slots and some were paying out for others, not me this time. :-( One guy won like $9400 on Superman, he got the top prize. I just won a little then I lost a little. They have Wizard of Oz slots, Star Wars, Life, Willy Wonka, Sex in the City, and various Monopoly slots. I got to play a few there, that I don't see in my area.

We stayed at the Springhill Suites, it was nice room. It is also really close to the casino, the GPS said it was a mile away, but it seemed closer. We got an early start back home today due to a commitment that my brother had, so we just ate the free breakfast at the hotel. I would have liked to try to the buffet, maybe another time. I did try a malt at Bobby's Burger Palace and it was pretty good, the resturant was really smelling nice when we left, but it was too late to try one of sandwhiches there.

We have been there three times with free hotel stays. The casino is nice and we like eating at Margueritaville as they have gluten free stuff. However we will not be going often because of the lack of video poker. Our free play situation is exactly the opposite of yours Deetee. We get a little from Cincinnati but a ton from Cleveland. We have been to Cleveland a couple of times but not for any heavy action. Since we live in Indy you would think Cincinnati would be more likely to attempt to gain our presence but not so. My brother and sister in law had never set foot in the Cinci casino but shortly after a visit to Reno they received some big money free play from Horseshoe Cinci. Someone thinks they know something but not I.
Lately I've been getting several 3 day offers for HC and was considering them. But thanks for the heads up on VP...its off my list.
The VP quantity and selection is subject to change of course but the last time we were there this huge casino had about 30 single play machines and a few multi-play (three and five as I remember). Almost all the VP was near the entrance to the buffet. It is possible some machines have been added as I am guessing many negative comments have been made from VP players but it is unlikely that we will go to see until next Spring at the earliest.

I am planning a road trip from FL to MI in July. I was thinking of stopping at Cincinnati on the way up instead o Indiana. They are all sold out really ?7 months ahead and sold out. So how do you get comped rooms?
You need to look closer to your trip. They never have projected comps very far in advance. If you look a December you will probably see some comps. That has been our experience anyway.
Thanks fingerstim
