last minute Cherokee room, anyone had luck?

So we were hoping to have some lake time this weekend but the weather is going to be cruddy. Called Cherokee, of course, no rooms for tomorrow night. I really wasn't expecting a room to be available but thought I would try. I think cancellations are supposed to be 24 hrs. Has anyone had any luck at the last minute?

Tammi from N. GA.
I'm a regular there and on more than one occasion I was able to book a room not available until the same day. Give it a shot
Thanks! I am going to try tomorrow again. We have a room at the Fairfield Inn across the street just in case, but would prefer a comped room! At least it is an easy walk over. The reservation guy suggested calling further in advance to book a room, lol. I would like to know what Saturday night in the next year is actually available comped.
Cherokee always, always, always tells you they are sold out, when I know for certain they are not. Unfortunately, the place is run by local yocals who have no idea how to run a resort casino. I agree that last minute retry can sometimes do the trick. I guarantee you most times, they will say they have no rooms available. DONT BELIEVE IT.

gonna make reservations there soon. Any advice on a tower/room?
Creekside Tower is the newest with showers only so if a tub is important ask for a Mountain or Soco tower Room. Soco Tower rooms have whirlpool tubs. All the rooms are large with 42 inch TVs. They all have coffee makers. Ask for a higher floor for better views. The mountain tower is a bit of a walk from the front desk so if mobility is an issue ask for a Creekside or Soco room. Hope this helps
