I know this is about 2 months late, but I just now renewed my LVA membership and wanted to give an update on Biloxi...
We spent 2 nights on the gulf for my bachelor party. The city looked to be full and the casinos were busy, never slammed, but busy. We stayed at the Isle, and it was great. Really friendly staff, loose slots and fun dealers. The players club, the security and bartenders did a great job at remembering our names and drinks. The majority of the Isles table games are upstairs with a "party pit" on the first floor that only opened on nights and weekends. They have a little food court that was expensive and not great. HOWEVER - they offered carved ham/turkey sandwich station for $3 each, and they were great. Perfect boozing food. I spent most my time at the BJ tables and had some fun runs, all the dealers were chatty and helpful. The drink service was weak thou. I guess they were shortstaffed or something, because there were only servers on the entire floor. Took about 20 mins to get a drink and half the time, it was wrong. You could make 2 runs to the bar for a beverage in the time it took the server to get you one.
We took the trolly (only $5 for a day pass, maybe less, I forget) to Boomtown and IP. Boomtown was loud and fun. I was way way way up on the $5 WOF slot, and lost it all. My buddies hit the Hard Rock and said it was "booming" with a hot young crowd and UFC fighters (despite no fight in town).
Also spent some time at the Grand. Huge gaming floor. Very bright and did ok.
Day 2 - walked to Palace. It was under construction and the casino floor was crowded. The 2nd floor was all slots and drink service was swift. We played some golf, then hit Treasure Bay. Had a great time watching a drunk guy play, and win about $8 grand and then fight gravity. Treasure Bay was packed. Got an odd vibe there. Nothing bad, something just didnt seem right.
Pulled an all nighter on the final night at the Isle and walked to Beau. And lost everything I had won. Weak.
Drove home broke and hungover, but happy. It was a great trip.
I highly suggest the Isle.
