Mini Cincy Horseshoe Trip Review

Had been down the the Horseshoe in Cincy several times since it opened but we took advantage of spending the night and show for the first time.

Had gotten a flyer for free tickets for Jeff Dunham. Cool sounds good. Well hubby called his host (had never used one at Ceasars/she is at PH in LV). She made the reservations at the hotel and show tickets for us. Again cool. easy peasy. Was sent all info by email, picking up tickets at will call.

Showed up at our hotel the day of show. No hotel attached to hotel (thanks ohio for the rule). Reservations for a free night at they Hyatt. Our room was sooo small. I swear you could sit on the toilet and touch both walls. Had to stand in hallway of room to dry my hair. Ok guess we will deal with the small room, at least the bed was comfy. Headed down to catch the shuttle to the casino. We waited and waited. Time came and went that the shuttle was to be there. Went in and ask at the front desk, who was kind enough to call and check. Oh--they changed the shuttle. It is now a party bus (which had stopped on time but didn't know it was for the casino). Another 20 minutes later got picked up and short time later dropped off at casino. No line at will call and no problem picking up tickets. Headed over to have dinner at the buffet (free coupons mailed). Had ate there once before while if was ok. It was nice they did have some locals specials. This night was bad. I have some spices that do not agree with me to the point that I'm one step away from heading to the ER if I have to much. Well some one got a little heavy handed with these spices in everything--even the mac and cheese. so most of my dinner was banana crepes with vanilla ice cream. Gambled a little and then off to see Jeff. Well we find out its outside--ok not a hot night great weather. Headed through the diamond line, past the lawn seating/standing to the line with our tickets to be seated. Oh sorry we are told your section G row 8 seats 99 and 100 are not where the seat are its find a place out in the grass. What???? We were not the only ones. We watched about half of the people think they had seats only of have lawn seating. Alot just left. All through the show fire trucks where leaving the nearby fire house and fire works from the Reds game were going off. You could tell Jeff didn't know he was performing outdoors and the noise while worked into his act well could have spelled trouble for others.

Clearly there is a communications problem at Cincy. Shuttle did work well after we knew which bus to get on. Jeff Dunham was very funny. Casino is clean. Food good--but not for me. Will try a different hotel next time.
not cool to give you seated show tickets and then tell you to sit on the lawn. I would have left!!

Thanks for the report.
