Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods?

Heading up to that area and have a night free to goof around, so why not hit up one of these two massive casinos?

Since I will probably only have time to get to one of them, which would you pick and why?

I usually play slots, but also blackjack, pai gow poker, and some craps thrown in.

Thaks for the advice in advance!

My opinion,

Mohegan Sun is far nicer ...... basically two casinos, which are divided by a nice shopping mall in the middle.

Foxwoods has several gambling areas that are quite spread out, and the shops and casino design are not nearly as nice.
There is also the MGM at Foxwoods, which is connected to Foxwoods by a 1/4 mile walkway.

Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun are only about 13 minutes apart via country roads, so you should probably visit both.
That way you will be able to evaluate them for yourself.

Any more questions, just PM me.

I recommend Foxwoods. I like the MGM Grand.
Are you looking for a nightclub? Check out Shrine.

There are plenty of good restaurants, David Burke is a really good steakhouse,
check Al Dante, Juniors is always good.

If you are a Poker player. Foxwoods is definitely better.

For Pai Gow, I like Paragon casino. (The one in Grand Pequot.)

Entertainment choices would change my mind. Call ahead.
I prefer Mohegan Sun. Only went to MGM Foxwoods once and was told Player's Club system isn't connected to MGM properties in Vegas. Anyone know if that has changed?

You can transfer your Foxwood points to an MGM gift card that can be used in Las Vegas.
Only draw back is that you use 2 Foxwoods point to get one point on the gift card.
Also the gift points come with an expiration schedule, so you need to plan this.
Foxwoods is just a giant casino; it has no character. Mohegan Sun is beautiful and makes you feel good just to be in the place. They both have the same games, I played $1 9/6 JoB at Mohegan Sun last time I was there.

Mohegan Sun would be my choice. Mohegan Sun has 8/5 Bonus Poker at the 25c level.
It's been MANY years since I've been to either, but I liked Foxwoods better .. however, at the time I was there it was their 10th anniversary and it was JAM PACKED so we ended up driving over to Mohegan and playing .. this was long before MGM was opened up next door ..
Mohegan is clearly the better choice for video poker 8/5BP .50, Pickem $1, 9/6 J OB $1 but they have become very stingy in comps.
Very stingy! Last time I was down there the comped beer was an 8 oz draft. I asked the bartender what's that all about..... he said they are killing their business by cutting back on comps.
