Since May, I've been really enjoying Mohegan Sun.
It's only a 2 hour ride (seldom any traffic) from my house, and has turned out to be a great alternative to Atlantic City.
Biggest perk has been the free rooms (I get mostly Sunday to Friday, with the occasional Saturday night; though I've yet to have reason to stay over on a Saturday night...) and crazy number of concerts/events. Already redeemed tickets and enjoyed Tony Bennett, Tim Allen, Soundgarden (really for my best friend), WNBA, and Rihanna this past weekend (for the daughter). Free (comp) Rooms have NO resort fees, comp taxes and include internet, daily newspaper and free access to the pool and fitness center. Coming from AC, this makes the COMP rooms more valuable, especially NOT having to pay for internet or the gym.
Elemis Spa is also a fantastic deal. I've been given lots of $25 off coupons (from going to the shows); and can pre-pay for the spa for an additional -12% off using SpaFinder gift cards. So, basically, $25 off of $100 in spa services and then another -12% off. A total win-win for those who love to hit the spa midweek!
New buffet is also decent; though, I'm not a huge buffet fan. Biggest perk, is that you can get a very (average) half carafe of wine with the buffet for $9 (approximately 2.5 to 3 glasses). Also, I've got a ton of discount buffet coupons, which makes it a rather decent deal.
I also love the overall 'tranquility' of Mohegan, and the huge selection of restaurants (both fine dining, and casual alternatives). The ease of using comp dollars is also a plus (everything is 1:1 at all the stores, restaurants, etc. etc. no issues with Starbucks or other 'premium' brands).
Gaming, well, it works great for me. Always a $5 dice table (5x odds), vBaccarat (with real cards) starting at a $5/hand bet. More mini-baccarat ($10/$15) than you could ever dream of. Only negative is that Macao style is only $100 and there is NO big baccarat game. 9/6 JoB at the 25cent and $1 has appeared at the bar tops (not all, just select machines); which is a great way for me to play off my free play and enjoy cigars and cognac. VSOP cognac is also available for comp while playing 25cent 9/6 JoB at the bar. Oh, and did I mention it's a cigar lovers dream; tons of places to smoke, including no issues at the (outside) pool deck.
Looks like I'm getting very close to Wolf Club status level; and was wondering about other people's experiences with the lounges. I know that Wolf Club only allows access Sunday to Friday (unlike Sagamore Club, which is 7 days a week); but this is fine with me, since most of my trips are 1-2 day midweek get-aways.
I've been fortunate enough to visit the VIP Lounge on 33 (with some friends); and was very impressed; but I also assume that is NOT one of the lounges available to Wolf Club members.

So, I'd love to hear about any additional experiences/perks that Mohegan status (Wolf-Sagamore-Sachem) members have experienced. Or, any additional thoughts/insights from frequent visitors.
