New Orleans

Hi, my husband and I have not been to Nola in about 15 years.
We are going to be staying @ Harrahs for 2 nights before taking a cruise (NCL - Norwegian spirit).
Any recommendations on room choice .. or anything else?
Which host can you recommend?
Has anyone been on this cruise?
Belize, Roatan, Costa Maya?
Any advice on 'non advertised' things to do while in port?
Any help is really appreciated.

I'll be on the NCL Spirit cruise Dec 12 compliments of Harrah's NOLA. When are you going?

All of the Harrah's Hotel rooms are very nice. They have refrigerators and coffee pots. I was just at Harrah's NOLA a week ago.

There is plenty to do in New Orleans The WW II museum is very interesting. Walking around the French Quarter is fun. Go have a beignet at Cafe du Monde. There is the Riverwalk Shopping Center and the Canal Shops across the street from the casino.

My host is Sherry Schonekas. Yes, I'm going to the same ports. Lots of good cruise information on Cruise Critics message board. You can also sign up for the roll call on that site and meet with other people on that particular cruise. Have a fun time! I'd love to hear about your cruise as this will be my first.
