"and with comped players all but gone"?!???
interesting
Who would want to work for them,
and find out in a few years that you are out of a job because of that hiring rule ???

Work your benefits and salary up, ............ then they say and hire someone at a lower rate.

...... or do they "re-hire" you, but at a pay cut, which is back down to the starting salary ???

Kind of tells me something about the place, when the employees are treated in that non-personal way

Rick
Probably people who don't have jobs in the first place. I'm assuming if you are good, they will keep you.....

Isn't that with all companies ??? "if you are good, they will keep you".

I'm assuming that "contract" thingy when they hire, is so they will either
a. Let you go down the line and hire someone to do the same job at a lesser "starting" rate, or
b. Hire you back, but at the starting rate for the position you have been trained at and have doing all along.

Otherwise why do they have that rule when hiring ?

As far as maids go,
you could get enough soap and toliet paper to last you through the hard times...
..just sayin' I don't think food stamps pay for dry goods.
