One night trip to Blue Chip to see Whitney Cummings

My wife and I went to the Blue Chip on Saturday night to see Whitney Cummings. I had free nights and booked a room at the new Spa Blue tower. The rooms are very nice. We ate dinner at the Vegas Baby restaurant and paid with my B Connected points. I had a steak and my wife had the Mahi Mahi special. Both were excellent.
I was on a good roll before the show, managing to make significant wins at Jackpot Block Party, Quick Hits and Reels O'Dublin. Ths show was great. We only paid $20 per ticket(which included the outrageous Ticketmaster charge). Whitney is a regular on the Chelsea Lately show and on the celebrity roasts. During the show she tried out some of the material she was working on for the roast of Donald Trump this week. Suffice to say, it made me almost feel sorry for the Donald.
To quote that great piece of American cinema, the Hangover, you should never quit a heater. Unfortunately, that is what I did when we went to the show. As hot as I was before the show, I was ice cold after. I gave back all of my winning and then some.
The next morning we had 2 free buffets for breakfast. I will simply say that it is not one of the great buffets you will find, but for breakfast it is tolerable. After breakfast we returned to the casino in an attempt to regain my lost mojo and to play one of the 2 Lord of the Rings slots which had been constantly busy the night before. While my wife played the only LOTR slot open, I did the unthinkable and tried the Sex and the City slot. Much to my surprise it was alot of fun as I got to partake in several of the bonus games.
Ultimately I was able to sit down at the LOTR slot where I was able to advance "Smeagel", my LOTR user name, 6 miles in order to unlock the Arwen's Rescue bonus game. I even managed to get the bonus with a mere 6 cents left on the machine. As I type this I realize how incredibly nerdy that sounds, but for those LOTR fans the game is addicting. In fact, despite the fact that this was my first losing trip to a casino since my debacle at Biloxi last summer, I consider it a success.
I am "this close" to Arwens Rescue!!! (4 miles)
Love the prancing pony bonus best-- it's a wonderful game- wonderful ! and I'm not a nerd so you probably aren't either...
Actually watched a LOTRs movie for the first time after I came back from Vegas to see what i didn't know from the game..haha! (not much) Game is more fun than the movies in my view.
Read the Hobbit when I was 14 or 15 (loved it) but the fellowship books- didn't get past page 25.
If possible, see the extended versions of the movies. If you have not read the books, there is more of an explanation of the story.
Thanks for the vote of non-nerdiness. I feel much better.
