East of the Mississippi (General) - Please Rate the Atlantic City Buffets

The ACG has many 2 for 1 coupons for the Atlantic City buffets this year. I was wondering which ones everyone thought were the best. I'll probably only be able to hit 2 of them for dinner (Friday + Saturday). If you could only go to 2, which would they be?

Harrah's Waterfront Buffet
Showboat Buffet
Bally's Virginia City Buffet
Caesars La Piazza Buffet
Tropicana Fiesta Buffet
Trump Taj Mahal Sultan's Feast Buffet

As well, If I'm with 3 people, am I allowed to use 2 coupons and still be seated together?

The Borgata is far and away the best buffet in town. Nothing else is close.

As for the buffets with ACG 2 for 1 coupons, I'd rate them is this order:

Harrah's Waterfront Buffet
Showboat Buffet
Caesars La Piazza Buffet (food isn't bad, but minimal selection)
Bally's Virginia City Buffet (the grilled steak is pretty good + they have hand scooped vanilla and chocolate ice cream, the rest of the selection is small and mediocre at best)
Trump Taj Mahal Sultan's Feast Buffet

I left off the Tropicana buffet, because I only include places that serve human food. The last time I visited the Trop, I'm not certain what I ate fit into that category.

Regarding using multiple coupons, you should be fine. Just pay separately and the person who seats you will ask how many in your party. Tell that person you have 4 and hand them both receipts.

Bob right about the Borgata. However, I would put the Virginia City buffet over Showboat's and Caesars' buffets. I haven't eaten at the Tropicana's buffet in a long time, but I heard that it's been improved since Icahn took over the property.

I have on eaten the buffet at Harrahs and it was good, not great.

I did like the salad bar. You get a bowl, put everything you want in it along with the lettuce, and hand it over to the attendant. he will "chop" fine or rough, however you would like it.

Showboat was running a Saturday seafood buffet, but the $30 price kept me from ever trying it. I know Harrah's offers crab legs on the buffet. So far as I know, none of the casinos currently offer lobster, but last time I tried lobster at an Atlantic City buffet it was terrible.

Just returned from AC and used 3 ACG coupons. Best of bunch was Bally's Virginia City Buffet -- Friday dinner was good. Harrahs was okay. I was disappointed with Caesars La Piazza Buffet -- food was terrible and it was the Sunday Brunch!

If I had to pick two from the list, number one would be without question, Harrah's. For the second, a toss up between Bally's and Showboat.

#1 - Borgata...by far...sometimes they have soft shell crabs
#2 - Harrah's...well ahead of the others...and snow crabs
#3 - Bally's WWW and Showboat...fair if you have a 2-fer
The rest don't rate a number.
