Poker and video poker in Miami Fla???

Flying to Miami in the morning for a college basketball tourney ( I am an assistant coach with the Buffalo State Bengals - 2nd job ). I figured that in the evenings I would have time to try my luck at some limit hold em and VP while there. I have never gambled in Miami (heck I haven't been to Miami in 30 years) so I'm hoping that my LVA family has some suggestions for me as to where to go. I'm looking for close to FULL Pay VP If not FULL Pay quarters to $1.00. Also I'm a 2/4...3/6 limit hold em player who likes rooms that offer all the high hand bonuses you can stand!

I'm staying near the Miami airport , Spring Hill Suites and I have a van...but need to stay close to the hotwel in case of an emergency.

Looking for some advice...QUICK!!!

I am heading to Ft Lauderdale for Christmas and have been asking about limit holdem for two months, on this site and several poker sites. No one is responding. The Hard Rock in Hollywood has limit on their web site. I called to ask about it and got the "Yea yea routine" Whatever your looking for just come in .

My question was "do the games run regularly?" I guess that was more complicated than I thought.

Was over to the Hard Rock this week. My first visit. They had three tables going with 2-4 limit.
some high hand bonuses. I asked the dealer about 4-8 or higher. Answer, " you wont find it too often."
Looked like a decent place to play. I actually liked the casino. Will probably visit again if I am in the area.

We visited just about all the gambling sites during two Hollywood condo vacations. The racetracks such as Gulfstream, Calder, etc. have VP but it is nowhere near full pay. The only decent VP (still mostly not full pay) I saw in the area was at Hard Rock in Hollywood. As I recall we found either 8/5 or 7/5 BP in quarters (not sure about dollars) near the snack bar area. Most of these places are north of Miami and probably not close enough for you. If you decide to drive anywhere make it the Hard Rock it is a really nice casino and I would think it would have the most extensive poker room lay-out.
