room comps in Connecticut

Anybody have any advice on getting comped rooms in CT? Either Foxwoods or Mohegan. Do they even do it? I am low level diamond at HET, can almost always get a Caesars Palace room in Vegas just to give an idea of play level. Any advice or personal experience/advice is welcome. thx
Yes they do comp rooms, but a lot might be the free rooms through mailings.

You can try and call a host.
They may give you a night (chances are better for a weekday night),
but if you haven't played there before, the odds not in your favor.

I'm not sure how it would work if you just stayed there and then saw a host before checkout,
but I have a feeling that it's not like Vegas with the way they do things.

Good Luck and let me know how you made out.

BTW, I much prefer Mohegan over Foxwoods.

Thanks! I appreciate the info.
We live in CT, and are at the casinos almost every weekend. We get comped rooms every month, but only
Sun - Thurs as we are not high rollers. I personally prefer Foxwoods over Mohegan, now that the Sun
no longer comps video poker... Not sure where you're from or how much time you will spend there, but
trying to get in touch with a host can't hurt. Good luck to you, and I hope you enjoy Connecticut!!

Been to Mohegan Sun twice in the last few weeks, and didn't see any VP machines not comping points.

Maybe it was just the ones that I was playing, but I did get points on my card for playing.

Rick
We always played in the Sky Casino, and there were tiny signs on all the VP machines that they were no
longer giving comp for playing...that was about 6 weeks or so ago...about the time we started going to
Foxwoods. Maybe enough people complained that they switched back??
We do the same thing MicheleZee since we heard the news about the vp at Mohegan Sun. We are planning a trip to Fowwoods the end of February. So if anybody goes to Mohegan before then and they give you comps for vp now please let me know.
Thanks
They only don't give comps for the full pay vp. All the other vp games count your play. They are all mixed together so you have to look at the pays schedules and for the little signs about comps. I still prefer the sun to Foxwoods, but we're going to show some love to Foxwoods this Friday.

The diff btwn CT and Vegas is the number of rooms available. Mohegan sun has 400 rooms, Caesars has 4000.

Actually,

Mohegan Sun has 1356 rooms. I stay there once a month, and love the hotel and facilities. No resort fee, no charge for internet, no charge for gym/pool + a newspaper delivered in the morning. That's for comp rooms. Non-comp revenue (or discounted rooms) have a $8.88 daily fee.
