Rooms at Harrah's Cherokee

Live in NC but never been here before. Looking at a quickie trip.

Recommendations on rooms- Towers- mountain, creek, soco and room type premium/luxury/deluxe?
Creek rooms are the newest but has showers and no bath tub but the Premium has the best views. Mountain Tower is the oldest but rooms are recently redone but right now have a long walk to the casino while construction is going on.. Soco Premium rooms have jacuzzi tubs. Never could figure out the difference between deluxe and luxury. Hope this helps
Thanks so much!
Creek at the newest rooms in the new tower...they are all nonsmoking which is great! they are super cool. all the rooms have refrigerators and coffee makers and really all the rooms are nice. We just like the new Creek tower because it is nonsmoking. the casino is smokey enough.

The original sky-bridge that connections the hotel to casino (Soco and Mtn) is still closed for construction so its a longer walk around to the Creek wing to access the only sky-bridge. Thus everybody wants the new Creek Tower but unless you're 7-star or diamond you'll likely go to the two older towers which are still excellent. And besides you'll be in the casino all the time winning money not in your room.
Just booked a single night trip next week. Creek tower room comped for this lowly Gold member. Will let y'all know how things go.
Hey Packman nice score getting the new Creek Tower right at the front desk, Paula Deans and the new skybridge. Still lots of construction around the casino but doesn't interfere with your stay or gamble. New buffet is open on the 2nd floor which you walk pass getting from your room to the casino, it normally doesn't open until 4:30pm weekdays and around 11am weekends. However you have the 24-hour food court right under the buffet just off casino floor.

Enjoy your stay and play. File a TR.

So this was supposed to be a single night trip checking out the casino and basically getting away from things for 20 hrs or so.

Unfortunately the weather report was WAY wrong about the snow expected, GPS took me the wrong way (19 through Maggie Valley) and I ended up in a ditch on the mountain. A surly, gouging tow truck driver, artic temperatures, and a cracked bumper......not a good trip.

My brief, brief time at Harrah's Cherokee I found the staff to be super pleasant, exceptionally helpful, and fun. The room in the Creek Tower was great. Lighting was a bit difficult to figure out but comfortable bed, great shower, and easy access. Ate at Paula Deen's kitchen- good southern food. Gambling was minimal but easy to navigate the casino floor.

I could see myself spending some more time in this place outside of winter and when real cards are in place. I don't do digital poker (the main thing I play).
Glad you finally got there, hey NC-19 across Soco Mtn is the fastest route but could have a little bad weather at the mountain top near the Blue Ridge Parkway crossing, otherwise that road stays clear.

Make plans to return in the fall when the leaves are beginning to turn.
Good to see Cherokee make the board. I am somewhat of an expert, going 1 to 2 times per month.
