they announced it will open May 14. There's the Ritz Carlson, which is all indoors to get there from the casino. Also the Marriott Key Center, which is a 2 min walk caddycorner across Public Square. A little cheaper priced, but still down and a couple minute drive are the Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Lakeside and Comfort Inn. There's a few others within minutes also.
The Ritz-Carlton was purchased by the casino so there may be packages offered. if you get a room comp it's likely it will be there.
Neighborhood isn't bad. It's in the heart of downtown Cleveland. As mentioned above there are hotels in the immediate vicinity. E 4th street is a few blocks away. Lot's of great bars & restaurants there. The theatre district is about 6 blocks away. I imagine once the casino opens more restaurants, bars & shops will open along Euclid Avenue. Like any city, use common sense when walking at night.
Thanks sooooooooooo very much to all. Will be in Cleveland for two weeks in July for husband's heart surgery at Cleveland Clinic and want things to do for the four days before he is admitted. Thanks again for all the info.
