Sams Town Tunica VP

I'm planning a trip to Tunica to play at Sams Town, our usual place to stay. I just saw a facebook post that stated that the 2nd floor has been closed off and some machines were moved downstairs. Does anyone know if the pay tables have changed? I would hate to drive 600 miles only to find nothing to play! Already had that experience at The Roadhouse!
I was there a couple of weeks ago. The upstairs is indeed closed off and they moved their VP machines down stairs in a corner to the right of Roxy's. They have about 1/4 of the inventory down stairs that they had upstairs. They still have 9-6 Jacks or Better in quarters to dollars. They didn't bring any of their nickel machines down. They did bring 3 of their Super-Star? Games that have various games on them down too.

We were there on a Sunday-Tuesday and the place seemed really dead. Boyd casinos are my favorite places to play, but Sam's Town Tunica has been a real disappointment for me. Gutting their VP to about 15 machines and closing their poker room is forcing me to change my Tunica home.
This is indeed bad news. I've never been happy with their 9/5 $ DDB and really did not like their elimination of the slant top machines. Sounds like its really gone down the tubes. I booked a room there for Memorial Day for my neighbor and I'll be staying at the Shoe with most of my play at the Road House FP $ DDB slant tops. Had planned to play a little at Sams to keep them happy...may not at all now (will play off my FP, of course). Will be sure and let my ST host know why.
What did they do about the restaurants that were up there along the balcony overlook? I've forgotten the name of them.

I'll be visiting there this weekend and will give a report on what I find. The only restaurant left upstairs is Twains Steakhouse. They've remodeled and enlarged the diner downstairs and now call it Smokey Joes, the same name of the now closed BBQ that was on the second floor. The food there is good. Of course, the buffet is still open.
Twain's is still open during evening hours. That is the only one still open upstairs. They do have slant tops downstairs with quarter and dollar 9-6 jacks.
That's good to know . Thanks
Appreciate the updates on restaurants since I am headed to Tunica tomorrow for a few days.
