Just saw this article, hadn't heard about the shooting before. Glad they caught them!

You can never tell when or where. That is a nice hotel with the gas station right beside it... lots of foot traffic walking to/from the casino. You might expect it more at the old motel court hotels up the street.

Always be aware of your surroundings.

I agree. I was really shocked to read about the murder at the Fairfield. Our friends stayed there in August, we were in the Harrahs hotel, and I walked back and forth with my friend from the casino to the Fairfield many times and never even thought about danger. I should have, obviously.

I wonder if the Fairfield has hired security.

It's a sad world that we live in now.
