How could CE hand out the Great Race RC's before the deadline of Sept. 30th?
I'm shotting for 6 different locations so wouldn't they wait til you've swiped as many as possible- you have yours NOW?!?
I didn't get the Great Race RCs yet. I was using my two free DL passes for September. I don't have any comps now. I was referring to the Great Race comps that I will eventually get. If it's a choice between $10 for the DL or $10 for the coffee shop, the coffee shop is going to win most of the time!

I have found little change in the CET diamond lounges. The main change is that they now usually offer a chicken dish, a fish dish and a carved meat station. The fish dish I most remember right after the change to charging a fee to enter was a big bowl of lobster mashed potatoes with HUNKS of lobster, full claws and hunks of tails served at the Caesars diamond lounge. I was amazed. On a recent visit (last week)they served a broiled cat fish (basically cat food in my book). But, they did have a good carved lamb roast. Yummy.
This new structure is totally geared towards mid-high level diamond members. If you have 25,000 pts there is no charge for entry. It's still where I go to eat when in town or to even get a cup of coffee and a piece of pie...I don't drink too much. The food is marginally better but not like what it was initially. I'm sitting on $1,000 in comps because I just don't use them. Food is free, I won't pay for a hotel room, I'm not into shows enough to pay for one (I'll go to a free one) and I may get a massage every other month.
As for Borgata. Their $10 comp deal is a MUCH better bargain. But that you have to get 5 comp points in order for your play to register and that it's harder to get comp points at Borgata means that it's harder to get those $10 in comps. For the $10 in comps you get at Borgata you may have well earned $20 at CET where every dollar you put in the machine goes towards a comp.

I totally understand that when all is said and done you want your casino experience to be break even or better! Me too. I consider it as being frugal, not cheap!

I can understand that the casinos cut back to save money and to make money but it burns me up when they constantly advertise things that they don't deliver! Before they started charging for DL access they sent me this letter going on and on about "we listened to what you told us -- you wanted upgraded food, drink and service and we're going to provide that." Blah, blah, blah. Oh Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. Right.

The casinos know that most people visit for the entertainment value of the casino experience and STILL they cut back on service and value. My Mom lives 20 minutes from Mt. Airy Casino in the Poconos. There are no full pay games. But , the casino is kept clean, at a reasonable temperature with varied games. It's crowded all the time because it's a nice experience to go there. I don't understand how CET thinks they can keep cutting back and still compete with other properties.

At least at the Borgata it's very clear what you will earn and what you won't earn and every once in a while (usually during slow times) they will give you something extra.
