Tampa HRC parking

As most Florida gamblers know , last August the Tampa Hard Rock Casino instituted a $ 10 parking , citing patrons concerns about low security . The casino said that to pay for an increase in security patrols , they had to add the fee .
Starting tomorrow , the Casino has reinstituted the free parking , saying that , due to " customer concerns " they were cancelling the fee . They also said that the increased security would stay in effect .
In my humble opinion , they realized that they shot themselves in the foot . But that's just my opinion---they could be doing it out of the goodness of their heart . But , if you believe that , I have some prime waterfront property I will sell that is in Collier County , just off Alligator Alley--I will let it go cheap---a few million bucks for 100 feet on the water .
$5 per car would have paid for more security, and been easier to live with. no fee is better.
They operate from a position of power because they are the only casino north of Broward County . They have no competition because of the mouse ( Read Disney World ) . In South Florida ( Dade and Broward Counties ) there are 11 casinos and racinos and a parking fee there would have no effect , because you can always find one that doesn't charge . The Tampa Hard Rock felt the boycott financially and reacted .
