A successful trip report. It began with returning a broken, recently bought Wet Jet Swifter at our local Meijer’s. They returned the full purchase price—a $3 profit because of a coupon. Unto Staples to return an ink cartridge that was a dud and would not work in the printer. Since it was bought last August, I would have been happy with store credit. Instead, they gave me $46 in cash. Wow! I have almost $50 extra money for the casino.
So, on a balmy (for this time of year—20 degrees), windless, sunny Michigan winter day, we are off to Soaring Eagle Casino and $15 of free play. We found a parking spot close to the door—another good omen. I played the $15 through a 25 cent DDBP machine in hopes of 4 Aces with a kicker. No luck but the money lasted for about 15 minutes.
Then I switched it to a JOB put in a hundred and hoped it would last about an hour at which time hubby and I are to meet. After about 10 minutes of play, I was dealt a royal in clubs. Yippee!! I cashed out to show hubby the win. I switched back to DDBP and quickly had 4 0AK. (I do get a thrill for the extra pay). Husband stopped by to see how I was doing. Great!!!! A royal and one 4 OAK in 7’s. He left with the agreement we would meet in another hour. I was quickly dealt 4 queens after only holding one. Soon I was given 4 OAK in 10’s. My mind set said to play down to 800 credits and a $100 profit. I cashed out put $1200 away for another trip.
It was time to try some mindless slots like Diamond Vault, Sex in the City, Quick Hits, etc. After a half hour of losing, I found my husband. He suggested I should try a 2 X 3X 4 dollar machine that a gentleman had been doing well at. Well, we did not find the exact machine, but it had the same karma. We both had decided we would spend 20 more dollars. I had registered 80 credits before hubby had lost his 20. I said I would play my machine down to 40 and quit. Instead, I got a 2 X 3 X 7with a bar for a $480 win!! I played the machine down to 500 credits and quit. As we left the casino, I had a $1580 gain (this was my single biggest gambling winnings) and hubby broke even.
After I bought wings at Buffalo Wild Wings, we had a safe trip home.
