My wife and I went to Trop AC for one night a few weeks ago. Wife used her debit card one time over the course of 24 hours in a store called Zetinia in The Quarter. The following morning there were 2 unauthorized charges from 2 locations in the surrounding communities. When we first contacted the Trop about it, they attempted to take the position that it's not their responsibility because the store rents the space and is not owned by The Trop. My wife was very persistent, contacted the local police, and the Trop finally decided to investigate. Be careful using any credit/debit cards in those Quarter shops not owned by Trop, since the workers there are not subjected to the same stringent background check as the casino/hotel workers are.
