Wetting my whistle for Vegas

We have a trip to Vegas planned for April. In the meantime, we are taking 2 mini trips on the east coast.

In January, we are heading to Maine for an overnight stay. The plan is to go to the Hollywood Casino in Bangor, spend a Saturday night there, and head south to Oxford for the other casino on the way home on Sunday.

In February, we are heading to Atlantic City for a 3 night stay on school vacation week. We will probably stay at the Trop, as we get comped rooms there. However, hubby received an offer from Trump Plaza for a 2 night stay, so we may combine the stays with one overlapping night. I know the video Poker at Trump is much better than at the Trop and that will be my play there.

Any suggestions for the Maine casinos? We have never been to either of them.
Updated to add: Hollywood casino in Bangor has only 90 rooms. I called the slot club, and asked if they could look up my comp card account number, as I could not find my card from the Hollywood casino in Pennsylvania. I found out that the Hollywood cards are not linked!! I was hoping to get a discount on the room which is posted on line as $159 for this Saturday night and $169 for the following Saturday night. I guess that's not going to work!
