ABBA tribute: Dancing Queen

Anyone seen the above at NYNY? My niece has been a huge ABBA fan ever since she saw Mama Mia at MB and couldn't find any reviews on this particular show. TIA.

I have not. I do know the showroom is in their ex-club venue.
I also think you might be seeing both the Irish Dance Show and ABBA.
The review I read shows them both playing together. They're little Shows...
NYNY is trying different things to see what works.
Someone here was going to see it...? rkorbyl ? maybe...
Call NYNY and get the details: 1.800.693.6763
Sorry.... I did not get a chance to see it Greg. It does certainly intrigue me though. Perhaps when I am down there in a few weeks but I suspect my buddy won't want to see it until I tell him that ABBA music really appeals to the ladies! I too have always like that fringe benefit of ABBA!!!!!
Hell, ya should take him to Chippendales, he'd be in heaven! LOL.

I saw the Spirit of the Dance - Irish Dancers in May and wasn't impressed. The price was too high at $57.00.
I couldn't see the value, as I had seen a full production a few years ago in Victoria, B.C. which was fabulous for the same price.

Greg, I loved the Cirque show Love- and the seats were great. Now I am heading back at the end of August with my sister and we've scheduled Love on August 30, Viva Elvis on August 31 (the last night) and Phantom on September 1 (second last night).

Any comments on Elvis or Phantom?

I saw Dancing Queen when it toured Canada. If it is the same show it is worth seeing. They sound just like Abba. The show would be improved if the guy playing Benny would not shake his head quite so much. It was a trait of Benny's but this guy spoofs it to the point of becoming a booblehead - and it is distracting.
Abbacadabra is also a good Abba tribute band.

'bkrull7'...hey there,
VIVA ELVIS has it's molments...like most CIRQUE Shows, a mid room
centerish seat works best.
PHANTOM (for me...) works best from the Gold Circle and it's probably
selling like hot cakes.
I got a tic for their special closing night on Sunday, Sept. 2nd. It'll be
bitter sweet but....SPECTACULAR!
Hi Greg:

Thanks for your comments. I loved the Beatles Love so much that I talked my sister from Vancouver to meet up with me in Last Vegas - she's never been. We're doing 3 shows in 3 nights. I was dying to book Phantom on the last night but she had to return to Vancouver on September 2 - so we decided Saturday, Sept. 1st will have to do. So it's Love on August 30, Viva Elvis on August 31 (the last night) and Phantom on September 1st.

I'm really excited about this trip!
