So is it $700 or $1400 for two?

Come on Jerry.  You know what she means.  LOL

If I wanted to hear her sing, all I have to do is buy a CD or listen to a radio. I will never understand anyone paying the incredible prices to hear someone sing songs that you can hear for free - there must be some "need" to say "I saw ( fill in the name) in a concert". To sit for 1-1/2 to 2 hours, pay outrageous ticket prices with multiple "fees" and taxes, ushered in like a herd of cattle, watching from the south 40 - is it really worth it?

There is a difference between listening to CD and seeing performances live.  I agree about the hassles sometimes one has to put up with.  I learned one thing, which is don't get there early.  I hate, hate, hate sitting 30 min or more waiting for a show to start.  Finally the bulb lit up...arrive 2 minutes before showtime.  You have your seats already.  Shows don't start early.   Try to score aisle seats and get there last minute.

There aren't that many I'd pay to see.  Mostly I'll go if comped, but often wouldn't go even if comped.  I hate people standing up in front of me screaming most of a show.  I'll leave even if comped and great seats.

But, overall, most I took the time and money to see have been worth the effort.  There is something magical about live vs CD/radio, if you really like the performer.  The one show everyone raved about and I hated was the ventriloquist years and years ago.  Worst show I ever paid to see, and the noisy kids behind us yelled "dude!!!" after every joke/impersonation.  And this was before "dude" became the word of the century.  I think he died soon after he quit performing.  Anyway, really regretted going to that one, but everyone else in the universe seemed to love him.

As for Adele, I have no desire to see her at any price, but I'm sure her shows are great.  I never saw Celine, heard it was the best show ever.

Price of seeing a show; (1) Drive time to casino, (2) Parking fee, (3) inflated ticket prices + taxes, (4) standing in line indefinately to enter, (5) jammed packed seating, (6) inflated drink prices, (7) unruly crowd, standing, singing along, screaming, (8)  when show is over, the jamned up crowd when trying to leave, = -No Thanks , I'll listen to a CD in the comfort of my car or at home.
