Best magic and comedy shows

Just a quick survey. Of all the magic shows which ones would you say are the best? The same for comedy shows. Of all that are available which ones would you recommend?

Thanks for the opinions and ideas.
I think that Mac King has the best Magic show in Las Vegas. No big electronic illusions. Just good old amazing slight of hand tricks done in a hilarious fashion.

Larry from Las Vegas, NV
Agreed- Mac King
Magic:

Mac King: really enjoy the show. I've seen it three times -- and would always be willing to see it again.

Lance Burton: saw the show once. Definitely worth it. Great illusions with a different feel. Some good humor. Some close up with some big prop illusions. Too bad he's gone.

Penn & Teller: fun, different. If there's a good discount, definitely worth it.

Rick Thomas: saw his afternoon show some years ago. Seemed very standard. Left me thinking: been there, done that.

Steve Wyrick: I wasn't impressed. His big trick was making a plane disappear -- and it was obvious how it was done. There were other tricks that used very cheap props. Don't know if he's still around.

Comedy:
See Penn & Teller and Mac King above.

Vinnie Favorito: of two minds on his show. It's very racist, which I often don't find funny and always find offensive. When he gets away from race and riffs on the relationships of people in the audience or their occupations or whatever (other than race).

Gordie Brown: Love the show. Music and comedy.

I think Mac King is a must see for magic (Harrahs), and I highly recommend seeing Louie Anderson for comedy (now at Palace Station).

I also have always had good luck with the comedy at the Improv (Harrahs).

I also am a Penn and Teller fan.
Amazing Jonathan has 20-30 minutes of the funniest comic/magic act I have ever seen. Too bad the act is 1&1 1/2 hours long.

Vinnie Favorito might be the funniest act I have ever seen. However, I saw him with my grandson and that really made the act better. Not sure I would have enjoyed it so much had I seen it with my wife. As far as the racism goes my take was different. He was making fun of racism and the minorities in the audience were laughing as least as hard as anyone else. He made me out to be an old, homosexual, child molester and I could do nothing but LMAO. I walked out with a bad headache due to the lack of oxygen caused by uncontrolable laughter.
I enjoyed George Wallace and always like Mac King.
Penn & Teller are good.

Have seen A. Jonathan twice and loved it both times.
Mac King is a must see. Just good old fashioned clean humor you can take the kids or your mom to.
Amazing Jonathan is one of the funniest as long as you don't object to the language and crude sexual references. His assistant - Penny Wiggins - who plays psychic Tanya is every bit as funny as him.

Mark Savard Comedy Hypnosis is very funny - and LVA coupon book and Goldstar both are offering free tickets - just a small handling fee.

Penn and Teller are very funny - discounts at Goldstar.

Mac King is great if you don't mind afternoon shows - I think that LVA Coupon book has free admission if you buy a drink.

Gerry McCambridge (The Mentalist) is a great choice to meet your magician requirement - not exactly a magician but as a mentalist he is probably the best one working today.

Edited - How could I forget to include Carrot Top? VERY funny (discounts at Goldstar and I think LVA coupon book)

Hope this helps
