I am sure that when you get up and leave that everyone still at the table is pleased, knowing that they can now enjoy the game. It is also nice to hear that there are some intelligent, sane people who live there.

Personal attack. Reported to Anthony.
Also: apparently, David Miller considers people who won't get vaccinated or wear masks intelligent and sane. That needs no further comment.
David/Kevin, neither of you is permitted to comment in a thread outside of Kitchen Sink when the other has commented first. Whoever gets there first is the only one allowed. Take it or leave it.

I think it would be more reasonable to disallow personal attack responses but to leave simple discussion alone. David occasionally provides useful information, and I wouldn't mind at all if he simply did that and confined his personal attack stuff to the Sink.
That said, it's certainly your call. Does this include barring responses to threads outside the Sink that either one of us starts?
As a suggestion, how about we all refrain from making comments of a political nature? The country is divided right now on many fronts, and any such comment could fire someone else up. The end result is a personal attack.
Again, just a suggestion.
Tommy
I agree with you Tommy.

How about we all refrain from making personal attacks on people who make comments of a political nature? At least outside the Sink as far as these forums are concerned.
But you know, as far as the pandemic is concerned, I wish to hell it had no political aspect at all. That it undoubtedly does seems bizarre. After all, what's political about people getting sick and dying, and trying to prevent that from happening? And what ridiculous path did we take that made wearing or not wearing masks, or getting or not getting vaccinated, a political issue?
I agree that when I mentioned the politics of the no-maskers I have encountered at the poker table, that created an irresistible urge on the part of one poster to generate a personal attack. So maybe we all should never mention politics in any context. Ever. For the next hundred years, or however long it takes for us to heal.
I do agree with your essential point. So sad that it's come to that.
P.S. I apologize if this post technically violates the rule Anthony laid down, above--but I believe he was referring to new threads from this point forward.
As a conservative I am offended and consider it a personal attack every time I see the word "conservitard".
I have zero problem with a private company making the decision to require a Covid ID.

That is really a shame as I would really prefer to read anything David writes. Would it be possible to put something in your system that allows us to block from reading or have our posts read by someone we would just rather no engage with or read their comments? Every other site allows for something like that.
