Creedence Clearwater Revisited

We saw their show at the Blue Chip casino in Michigan City IN last saturday. As I noticed they were playing a lot of casinos across the country I thought I would give everyone a heads up that they put on an excellent show. If they come to a casino near you try to make the show.
I had tix for their first show in AC about 14 years ago. Just before the show, they made an announcement that John Fogerty was not participating and if anyone wanted a refund, they should leave now. Upwards of half the crowd left, including myself.
Credence without Fogerty is akin to The Pips without Glaydis Night or The Jerry Garcia Band sans Jerry.
I would have thought the same way. However, we would both be wrong. Strong show.
Agreed. I saw them in Wendover a few years back. They can indeed rock.

I've seen their adds for years now and always wondered how many of the old Credence songs
they can play. If John wrote 'em...who has the copywrite these days?
I know there was a long bitter law suit for years over the material...
Fogerty sings 'em all in his Shows, but did you hear with Revisited?
This kind of explains it all:

I heard all the songs Greg. But agree its not the same without John.

They put on a good show.........and we had tix up front. But, Not seeing John on stage?
Just didn't seem right, so hubby & I got up and moved to the back.
We could hear the music without Seeing them. lol

For my money, if you get to see a show of John F. vs. CCRevisted? I'd choose John. Still Great Voice.

PS- he's one of the few artists I got a picture with. lol He's a nice guy, loud voice, and huge
baseball fan.........met him at the World Series games about a decade ago.........
Johns seat, sitting right behind me.
Whenever a Foul ball was hit? Didn't matter if it was headed Our way, or the Other way.......
John would yell..........."I GOT IT!!!!"
Funny Liked him alot.
I GOT IT...thanks you two!, lol.

I don't really care if they managed to win the lawsuit, the fact that John Fogerty oppossed them is enough for me. I'm sure they put on a good show- almost any garage band would sound good doing note for note covers of the real CCR.
I'm reminded of the little forward JRR Tolkien puts in all his books about respecting authors both live and dead by buying only authorised versions of their work.

How cool that you met him, CLV! "Center Field" is one of my favorite all-time songs.
