Dancing for the older crowd

Now that the Fontana Lounge has closed, are there any lounges the Wife and I could do some dancing. We're not into the club scene but just looking for some fun music and dancing.
Milihi: Check out "wwwNiteKings.com"-- They play Boyd Casino lounges at Orleans, SunCoast, and Sams Town on different nights of the week. Good dancing music for 50 and older crowd.
My wife and I were at South Point in September on a Saturday night and we listened to Wes Winters in the Grandview lounge. He plays a lot of older songs and takes requests. People where up and dancing. He was great. We will try to see if he's there this September again.
I would suggest the lounge at Bally's as they usually have some great R and B bands. I just had a chance to see the San Fernando Band who typically plays at the Gold Coast. They play absolutely everything and do a pretty good job of it. I was amazed how busy the lounge/showroom was. There were only a few extra seats in the entire house. The dance floor, which is rather large, was quite full the entire night. Many of the people there seemed to be knowledgeable with proper dance moves and etiquette.

I was amazed as I showed up early to eat a later dinner and it appeared that people were jockeying to get in line. It seems to me that they have quite a following at the Gold Coast. ...... and NO cover charge, no drink minimum (even though the sign said 2 drink minimum - There were no cocktail waitresses and people would just walk up to the adjacent bar found inside the lounge/showroom)

My wife and I also miss the Fontana Bar, we did have some fun at a bar in the Tropicana which had live music and dancing, can't remember the name. Sadly its not the Fontana bar, but the band was good and a nice crowd.

We also liked La Scena at the Venetian which has been closed, for remodeling, but we hope will reopen again.

Seems like the live music and dance places have been closing, we remember the lounge bar at the Mirage which featured Party Central...long gone.

Any replacement spots is appeciated.

Thanks

Dave

Thank-you for all of your advice. Three weeks till my trip, I'll check out The Strip for The Older Crowd and report back.

I saw the San fernando band playing at the barbary Coast 4-5 years ago. Absolutly the best band i have ever heard in Vegas. I'd pay money to see them again. I'm checking Gold coast website now to see if they are there while Im in Vegas. That would be reason enough for me to switch my stay to GC for a couple of days!!

Have not been there in a while but Cleopatra's Barge in Caesars uused to have live music that was not for the club set.
