David Cooperfield sucks

This has to be the worst show I have ever seen in Vegas. He rambles on during the whole show about worthless stories. He has way too much phonie audience participation. His illustitions could be done by a fifth grader. If I hadn't been with a large group of people for a birthday party I would of yelled out during the show and then walked out. I did tell one of the ushers that it was the worst show I have seen and then they said thank you, come again. Dont waste your money on this over hyped want to be magician.
wow, I thought it was one of the coolest shows I had seen in a while!

When I saw him 3 years ago we had great seats and were fairly close to the stage. He came out and threw about 5 Frisbees into the audience to ensure everyone knew it was random.....and "I" caught one! so I know damned well its at least random.
The show itself had a bunch of decent to good allusions, nothing super special but they sure confused me!!!
Another thing.... I thought he was fairly funny! I had expected a dark, quiet, brooding type guy dressed in black. He actually had blue jeans, an un-tucked flannel shirt and loafers and made some quick witted fun of my wife when she went up on stage with my frisbee!
One of the two big finally type things he did towards the end was to make a 57 chevy appear after 5 audience members climbed over and under the covered flat box that was brought out on stage! and this was like 20 feet from me! (like I said-we had good seats) and I still have no idea how the hell he did it!!
I personally have no problem recommending his show based upon what I saw a few years back.
Sorry to disagree with your post, but that's what the boards are all about.

I saw him years ago and it was the last "high-end" magic show I even went and saw. He is so full of himself and I found the show rather boring. I can't believe I am saying this, but I'd rather go and be forced to watch "Starlight Express" back at the Las Vegas Hilton. Yes, that's how bad I felt Copperfield's show was. To be honest, I am not a huge fan of magic but before the show I was excited to see a real headlining magic star. I left the show very disappointed.
As an amateur magician of sorts I do think Copperfield is talented but I think Lance Burton is much better. And I'd prefer a street magician like David Blaine (minus the stunts), I like the close up stuff the best. Much harder to fool someone a foot away. I had the opportunity to inverview Burton for a publication a few years ago. He couldn't have been nicer. One thing about Copperfield, other magicians do not like him.

I attended this show a little over a year ago and did not care for it, Near the end of the show. he covered himself behind some sheet, you could see the shadow of him, turned down the lights, brought the lights back up, his shadow was still there, and he appears next in the audience. Seems like a neat trick, except a lady with our group was near the stage, and after the lights came back on after the darkness, you could see that the person on the stage was a different person as the shadow had a different hair style. There was obviously a trap door somewhere. I could do that trick.

I would not advise that anyone pay money to see his show.
