This is a fun event, with lots of hunky cowboys in the crowd, lol. (Cowgirls, too.) We used to go every year during our annual Thanksgiving trip to Vegas.
Wow, when I saw "Downtown Hoedown", I thought that a Glitter Gulch girl had fallen down on Freemont Street!

or skank in the tank! You comment is much better and made me laugh as we have been to Siegels four times this month for a silly little slot tourney on Saturday.

Westie,

I really appreciate all the info you post. I find it very informative and helpful. I have been the the NFR every year since it moved to Las Vegas 1985! (well, I missed one year, but that is another story) And had never made it to the hoedown. This year I had a room downtown and went! I am glad I went, but that's when the wind storm hit! It was cold, windy and rain dose come down under the canopy. But the positive is I went . . . . you could walk in and out of the casino's too stay warm. Got to see the new Plaza (very nice), I got to eat a shrimp cocktail, Fried oreo and frozen bannana! Played my free play coupons and won three silver strike coins at 4 Queens! Also, they pass out $10 free slot play coupons in the front! Got to see the view from the Vue Bar at the Fitz (they don't serve food now)! And got to hear the bands (they were a little too loud. All in all it was fun!
