Elton John

My wife and I are excited about seeing him in concert for the first time but we were wondering how long the concert is so we can plan on making dinner reservations based on the duration of the concert. Also is it like most shows where you need to be there at least 30 minutes before the show? We got tickets for a friday night and we know that alot of restaurants can get booked well in advance. Thanks and have a great day!!
We went on the final night of the Red Piano a couple of years ago, and you need to get there a bit early as there will be lines and they check everyone and everything. No camera allowed. Metal detector booths, wands, just liek an airport. Show lasts typical 1 1/2 hours, although on his final night he ran over a bit, might have been closer to 1 hr 45 min.
Do an early dinner, go for a walk to digest, then get to your seat and see a true showman........even if he isn't the Elton of 30 years ago, he still put on an Elton show.
Nice avatar btw
Tyvm for the info and the complement lol.

What Janek said - Red Piano was great - over 90 minutes - He puts on a great show - if he is in a good mood. I have seen him several times - but if he is in a bad mood it shows - he REALLY is a drama queen. One shouted comment from someone in the audience can turn his mood for the night. But I would still go!

Million Dollar Piano runs almost 2 hours...a bit longer than Red Piano did.
If you need to use WILL CALL to pick up your tickets as I do most of the time,
I'm there an hour before showtime.

In re to your dinner reservations, keep in mind where your seats are...it can
take a while to get out of the Colosseum....then, if you're not eating on property,
you'll have a monster cab line to deal with to get to your dinner destination.

It all adds up. Make your reservation for later than you think you'll be there. At
that hour, if you're early...you'll probably get seated right away anyway.
Thank you all for the info my wife and I are really looking forward to it. We decided to have a late lunch at olives instead and then eat where ever after the show.
After Colosseum Shows, I like to walk, just into the entry of the Forumn Shops to Spago's
and eat...let the cab line go down, then get my cab.
There's also an escalator right there by the restaurant that takes you down to where cabs
will drop you off it you tell 'em you're going the the Forumn Shops. Most times, you can get
your cab right there without having to go out front and the 'monster line'.
I have not a single Elton John CD but I think if you have a chance to see him you should, so I did on 4/13 with my two comped CET tix. Spectacular show.

I second the Spago suggestion. Its perfect for before or after a show like that.

I also second Elton John. It was an honor to be there.
