Elton, NEW RESIDENCY, Colosseum

Elton's back (or will be soon...)
First Show will be Sept. 28 with the first
16 Shows thru Oct. 23.
Tics go on sale next Monday, April 25th
and range from $55. to $250.
Yamaha has been working on a piano for him
for the last 4 years...(know what the new Show is called...)
'THE MILLION DOLLAR PIANO' (...bet that's gonna make him sound better huh, lol)
The bitch is back!
I have seen him several times - and he can be a real drama queen - and spoil the experience - but when I saw him at Red Piano he was great. I'm really looking forward to seeing this new one - although I can't imagine why anyone would give Yamaha $1,000,000.00 for a piano - given the competition. i was recently involved in the purchase of a $50,000.00 piano for a concert hall, and Yamaha, while excellent, could not match the quality of our final selection.

He's playing a concert tonight in NYC for the opening of this seasons Tribeca's film festival.

I don't think I'd see him unles it was comped. As much as I've enjoyed him since the 70's- he can't sing like he did- it's a mass hypnosis of emperor's clothing w/ the LED screens and high tec muscians-- but Elton's voice is a whole 2 octive range where Barry Manilow's is stellar and better than ever.

Got my tic this morning...Oct.18th
I'm thinking he is gonna have a string section for this run.
Everything I've read said it is going to be less of a "show" than the red piano.
To me, that means less visuals and more music.

If I'm right, songs like Tiny Dancer are going to be WAY cool. I hope I'm right...
Got my tics yesterday also....October 2.
Hey Gregrio, I didn't opt for the expensive tics, got tickets in 1st mezzanine, section 4, Row E. Am I going to be disappointed? I have until tomorrow to change them with their 3 day return policy.
Well, I think 1STMEZ4 is probably your best bang for your buck...
HOW'D YOU DO THAT! (I looked for one up there too) for a second night
but there wasn't anything left in first Mez 4 so I passed. If I like the Show,
I'll catch it again someday. Just thought it would be fun to see it from the
floor and then above the next night.
It's amazing the extra money ya got for Shows when you quit playing those
damn slot machines, lol You can afford all sorts of things in Vegas you couldn't
before!

Row E is the second from the back. I like the 1st, 2nd,3d rows up there.
'if'...you can get find something down closer to the front, that would be
good but hey...we gotta take what we can get until the excitement wares
down a bit. He'll probably be selling out pretty quick.
It's not a bad seat...not at all, but closer is always better up there.
You're basically sitting above REAR ORCHESTRA, just up higher.
Thanks for the info. I think I'll stick with what we've got for now. We can always get better tickets next time we come out.
