F1 Strip room rates

The Las Vegas Review  Journal ( and Truist) has published average 3-night stay room rates at nine MGM and eight Caesars  properties on the Vegas Strip. These were average rates tabulated through this last Tuesday (10/29). The average basic room 3-night stays at nine MGM properties during race weekend was $1314.72; average cost for race weekend at eight CET properties was $987.41.

The most expensive base room weekend package ( without any bells / whistles) at MGM was at Bellagio ($2706.66) and the cheapest was at Excalibur ($801.25).CET's Caesars Palace was their most expensive 3-night weekend stay location ($2037.27) and the Linq came in as the least expensive ($687.48).

All these figures  likely will change/ go down before race weekend (11/ 21-23).

I'm not personally interested in F1 or the associative price gouging during that weekend; F1 fans have fun, though.

One of the many things I can't comprehend about F1 is why it's any kind of decent spectator sport when you can't see more than a small fraction of the entire course, as you could in a stadium.

It comes down to just another excuse for price gouging. And I'm sure that Vegas residents are thrilled with all the road construction efforts being concentrated on F1 preparations instead of, say, fixing potholes or widening existing streets.

Local workers and businesses are suffering through this debacle again this year, despite promises for an easier overall experience vs last year. There are at least 4 local business lawsuits vs F1 and Clark County from last year's disruptions; hitting these people in their pocketbooks ( if it occurs) with these lawsuits might be the only thing these F1, community organizers ( including LVCVA), and local county officials truly understand. I guess we'll see how extensive  the corruption might be from these lawsuit outcomes. The disruption of a major tourism thoroughfare / destination and the daily lives of service industry employees  that serve them is a massive debacle..especially when the community already has a racetrack and many alternative track site options away from the Strip.. A major joke, imo. Yet, I hope true F1 fans have a good time if it applies.

It's a perfect example of what happens when corporations are the masters. The average Joes suffer.

And there's one party now in power whose professed core mission is to serve corporations.

Expect more of this kind of crap everywhere, as deregulated, untaxed corporations run wild in their unbridled pursuit of profits.

D's and R's both depend on and solicit corporate donations and affiliations..and always have. Don't exclude the D's from this part of the money pigtrail. Sure, they both solicit the funds..without question. The 'professed core mission' you attribute to the recent election winners is debatable  if you claim the D's don't dip their hands and feet in the corporate moneypot/s.  You want evidence of this info , look at a website called OpenSecrets.org.
