Human Nature on PBS

Keep you eyes out for an upcomoing PBS SPECIAL
with HUMAN NATURE hosted by Smokey...
...SUNDAY, Dec. 4th.

I looked at mine today. I saw the tip in Mike Weatherford's column and
it said the PBS broadcast would be Sunday, Dec. 4th.

My local station shows the listing for Sunday MORNING...the 11th...9:30AM.

It seemed odd because the Weatherford bit also mentioned HUMAN NATURE
was working with PBS to film (what sounded like) one of those 'oldies' music
specials with other Motown artists...similar to the DooWop, or music of the
50's and 60's PBS broadcasts.

It also could just be my area. A confirmation from another board I posted the
tip on confirms the original date and time so...

For the hour and a half special I've mentioned, they filmed it in the PARIS Theatre,
not the IP (the floor bounces too much for filming, lol)

It'll be more like an early morning WAKE-UP CALL kido....
We don't get to see it until the following week...9:30 in the morning.
I tried to find it on some of our other Bay Area PBS stations but couldn't.
I called KQED...They said they weren't sure HUMAN NATURE would pull in
the pledges needed for an evening broadcast, so they put 'em in the morning...
...and I'll be AWAY that morning.

Oh brother, that was dumb! What are they going to do.........have re-runs of Rick Steves, as usual?

It does seem odd but hey...outside of us...who know Vegas/HUMAN NATURE...the
rest of the world is pretty much in the dark and KQED is no exception.
Oh well...just thought it would be fun to see and it still...might get another air time/another day.
I'll be in Oakland that morning gettin' a little hair trim before my New Years Vegas trip...
They couldn't even film it at the IP...the floor shook too much for the cameras! LOL (ya know huh...)
They shot it in the PARIS theatre.

Wow! We watched it and I was never interested in seeing this show until I saw it on TV. Now I want to see it and hope they are there when we get back. Great show.
