Human Nature Ticket Dilemma

My wife and I saw HN for the 1st time last summer--loved it and would like to treat her parents to it when we meet there in 2 weeks. I just noticed Goldstar has come out w/a new set of dates for their reduced tickets--the hitch is that they're only performing 2 weeknights the week we're there (June 7 and 9), and we're already scheduled to see Celine on the 7th (could have worse conflicts than that!).

I find myself debating between buying our tickets now through Goldstar, knowing we'll have tickets for sure but that the location may be poor (we were in a booth on the far side last year which worked for us--but the in-laws are a bit more particular about what they like). Or, wait 9 days until we're there to use the LVA coupon, balancing a potential better location w/the chance they'll be sold out or have only the worst locations left to pick from.

I don't know how close this show comes to selling out in advance, so any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks!
I loved HN-- and we had far side back of house seats--- didn't bother me at all.

Use the coupon=/ use the coupon!!

I would go again in a heartbeat so my advise to you is don't worry about seating-- it's not that big a venue and the sound is stellar.
hope the in-laws go as crazy as i did- Man, those guys work their tails off!!!
Thanks Noahcat--VERY helpful!!!

Just booked our tickets through Goldstar--probably for not much more than what the LVA coupon would've been, but now I have piece of mind that it's taken care of. Just needed that perspective of the seating there, and am grateful you took the time to help yet another LVAer.

O, Celine and HN--it's going to be a great week!
A gratuity to the person assigned to seat you will go a long way in improving the location of your seats.

'westie' is right...
If you don't like your Gold Star seat, a tip to the maitre'd will help.
I've used Gold Star a couple times now for HUMAN NATURE. Once the
seat was terrible...right in front of the stage/ FAR LEFT SIDE. He moved
me to center front (no tip...) but I only stayed there until the Show got
started. (UP FRONT DOES NOT SOUND AS GOOD AS FURTHER BACK) I
moved myself to the very back, lots of empty seats to choose from and
it was great.
My second Gold Star VIP tic was good. BOOTH 304.

THE VOCALS SOUND BEST AROUND THE 'SOUND BOOTH', mid room to back.

When I want a guaranteed good seat, I pay rack rate for BOOTH 307.
(306,305) are real good too but, 307 is center.
BOOTHS 308center, 309 and 310 are reserved for the maitre'd to seat folks...
The maitre'd I talked to said he needed at least $10. per person in a party to
reseat them. $10,$15,$20 per head will land you good seats...you choose how
much AFTER...you see where your first seats are.
I agree with Greg.Farther back is better. My seat was right up against the stage.Far to close to the speakers.
I bought tickets at Tix42Nite. I went to the box office fairly early, but they gave me pretty crappy seats, although I'm sure they would have been fine. When the show started, the maitre d' reseated all of us at that table to tables right in front of the booth. And it's not like the house was empty that night - I'd say it was 85%-90% full and he still reseated us.

Great show, by the way, for anyone who likes Motown music and hasn't seen the show.
Thanks for all the tips. I'll print out the seating chart, check out our location when I get the seats 2 hours in advance, and be prepared to tip if it looks like we're at the very back.

We loved the show and are excited to see it again--just want to make sure my in-laws get the best possible experience even while I resort to my koupon king tendencies on the discount price.
The best possible experience include being able to
hear those terrific harmonies...don't sit too close or
they'll sound 'muddy'...remember the 'sound booth rule'
it's there for a good reason.
Sorry--just 1 more question. Looking at a picture of the venue when printing out the seating chart, it appeared there may be an upper level in the back--if that's the case, am I wise to think about upgrading down to the main floor if I'm in that 4th section?

I was having so much time in the 2nd section a year ago I never thought of looking around to see what the rest of the showroom looked like!
