Jersey Boys Discounts?

Howdy All!

Planning our next visit January 1-4, 2012. Normally I wouldn't miss Human Nature (imho - best darn show in Vegas!), however, they'll be on vacation this time period. We would love to see Jersey Boys on Sunday night January 1st (according to web sites it looks like they'll be off the rest of the month). We found one discount towards the upper levels, but nothing in front or rear orchestra. I can't see spending that much on those tickets (we've always booked other shows via goldstar, but they don't offer discounted Jersey Boys tickets). Any suggestions? Also, might be interested in Trent Carlini as Elvis (wife is a huge Elvis fan) at the LV Hilton...any reports on this show? Thanks for your help!

I have heard that Jersey Boys is moving to Paris, although that might not be finalized yet. If you are a HET/CET customer you may eventually get an offer for Jersey Boys. That's what I am waiting for.

We saw Trent Carlini several years ago at the Hilton, and we loved it. We sat fairly close to the stage. He changes costumes several times - army uniform, etc. The voice and the Elvis-look are excellent. It is also appropriate that it is the same theater Elvis performed in. There are always a few Elvi hanging around the Hilton - at the bars, etc.

I hate that they put the statue of Elvis outside the doors - it used to be in the lobby.

I have seen Carlini a few times including at the LVH showroom when he was backed by a big band and his performance was excellent. I originally saw him at the Holiday Inn Boardwalk where he barely went through the motions. I understand in his current show at the Shimmer Lounge his performance is more reminiscent of his early days at the Holiday Inn though he does have a small backing band.

Travelzoo has an offer for the Jersey Boys, but it expires 12/31. You may want to check on them periodically before you leave to see if it is extended.

An excellent alternative would be Human Nature at the IP. We have been twice now and the show is excellent. Goldstar offers a good discount.
I saw him in May at the Hilton. He is very good, sounds just like Elvis. When he was at the Sahara I saw his show and it was in a larger showroom, more band and production. At the Hilton it is more intimate, more like a one man show with a very small band. Either way, we enjoyed the show and at the Hilton you can talk to him afterward.

I saw him this year but have a different take on it. He seemed to be bored and just going through the motions. Seemed like he couldn't wait for us all to leave.
