Les Miserables (not Vegas related)

The Ahmanson theater in Los Angeles is presenting a 25th Anniversary performance of Les Miserables through July. We went on June 29 and it was a spectacular performance. Any of you who live in the area or who will be visiting LA during that time should definitely check it out. We drove from Vegas (stopped in Baker to get some Alien Beef Jerky and then stopped to eat at Peggy Sue's 50's Diner) and we stayed at the Omni which is literally across the street from the arts center and the theater.

I had seen performances in NYC twice during its run there and was hoping I would get a chance to see it again. It is a life affirming story and you can't help but be emotionally affected by it. See it while you can.

I always thought that this would be a great show to be housed at the Paris Hotel/Casino although you really can't cut it down to 90 minutes.

Larry from Las Vegas,

You're so right---this would be excellent for Paris. Never thought of that
.
I also found the 1990's movie version with Liam Neeson to be really great, though not widely known. This film can really flesh out the story for anyone wanting to know more details. In fact, I've enjoyed the Musical so much more having seen the film too.

Ned Racine
Ned,

I never saw the movie version. I'll have to rent it.
