Lion King

We are going to Vegas in August and have reservations for "Lion King". Has anyone seen the Vegas version and what are your reviews? Thanks for the input...Roger
I'll see it next month and the reviews have been VERY GOOD!
We're fortunate to have this version at MANDALAY BAY...Unlike
the smaller/traveling versions...this is the full, blown out, over
the top effects and scenes Show like the Broadway production and
it's long...over 2 hours with a 20min. intermission but BE AWARE...
...the bathroom lines are LONG but you have plenty of time to use
a restroom in the casino area.
Saw the show over Memorial Day holiday. This production was excellent. I had seen the show in NYC and Chicago over the years but this Vegas show is the best.

Purchased the $50 tixs ($62 with fees and taxes) and my view was fine. I would recommend it.
Can anyone recommend where to sit??

Well I'm using my same seating game plan I used for MIA...
Front row, SECTION BB centerish.
Two reasons...
1. The sets are simple like MIA...it's the costumes, makeup and the
actors faces I want to see.
2. Management seems to feel folks think sitting that close is...TOO CLOSE.
The two front rows are a bit cheaper than the rows in back of them.
These seats were GREAT for MIA as many of you know. I'm betting they'll be
the same for LION KING (shhhhhhh, don't tell Mandalay Bay)
LOVE Mama Mia!!!!

I was thinking more "middleish". When I saw it in NY there was activity in the aisles & above your head that you wouldn't see if you were in the front rows. What are your thoughts? Please tell me if I am wrong ~~ I am a big fan of the Lion King.
I've heard that also and I'll just have to try and be aware of anything
happening behind me. For the most part, the action is on the stage and
that's where I want a great viewing point...
I am taking the words of the expert ~~~ Hoping I can get the exact seats your recommended!!

It must be fabulous to see all the great shows. What is your favorite, Mr Gregrio?
LOL...no fare!
I like 'em all. True, some more than others and...to be honest, a few not at all, but
for the most part they all work for me. Like a good CD...you don't listen to it only once
do you? If I really like a Show, I may see it a couple times a year. Others need a year or
two break in between but remember...I've been hangin' out in Las Vegas for over 15 years
now...4,5,6 trips a year and have lots of chances to catch these Shows but I have to addmit...
I'm runnin' out. The July trip will rendor LION KING, PEEP SHOW, VOICES, SIN CITY BAD GIRLS and that's
about it for new ones. I'll see LOVE again just cuz I LOVE it, and PHANTOM on a treat from
a friend but after that...???, guess I'll need to wait for CIRQUE's 'ELVIS' (someday...)
REALLY!!!!????? Nobody has seen Lion King??
